Welcome

We hope you enjoy your visit to our website and find it both useful and interesting.

Our Catholic Voluntary Aided Primary School serves the multi‐cultural parish community of St. Michael’s in East Ham, and the surrounding areas. It is the aim of everyone here to help children grow in faith, achieve their full potential and to build a community in which each person has self‐esteem as well as sensitivity to the needs and feelings of others. Our Catholic faith is at the heart of our existence and the Catholic character of the school is evident in all that we do.

We value the rich diversity of our Parish and school community in which so many cultures and backgrounds are represented. We celebrate this and our Catholicity in different ways during the year, and in our daily life.

When joining our community your child begins a new stage in their educational journey. We build on the foundations that you have given them in their first years and prepare them for their future education within the secondary sector. We strongly believe that in order for a child to reach their full potential, the relationship between home, school and parish is vital. For the benefit of the children we aim to work in partnership with you the parents, and rely on you for your support and co‐operation in all that we try to achieve.

This web site has been designed to give you a feel for our school. It is not a substitute for personal contact and visits are always welcome, especially from parents who are considering sending their child to St. Michael’s. We look forward to a happy and successful partnership with you over the coming years.
